Colin Noble studied piano with Isobel Grigor, Pamela Page, and Larry Sitsky, and has studied at postgraduate level in both performance and research.
He is an instrumental teacher, chamber musician, accompanist, and exponent of new music. Colin has given numerous national recital broadcasts, and since the early 1990’s he and his brother Alistair have performed as an acclaimed piano duo, known for their breathtaking ensemble playing. The music of Busoni, Poulenc, an Messiaen features amongst their staple repertoire.
Colin is known for his fearless approach to demanding music, regularly performing Messuaen’s Vingt regard sur l’Enfant Jesus (“a tour de force”) and the JS Bach Goldberh Variations.
