Originally from Nogales, Arizona, Evan Kory is a concert pianist and harpsichordist based in New York City. Recognized for his poetic sensibility and historically informed performances, Mr. Kory has performed throughout the United States and internationally in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, Russia and Australia. He has been heard in venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Hall, New York’s Steinway Hall, Bach-Archive Leipzig, Yamaha Artists Salon and the Lyceum of Arts Concert Hall in St. Petersburg. A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, Mr. Kory studied with Yoshikazu Nagai. He also worked with Robert Levin, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Leon Fleisher, John Perry and Anthony Newman among others. Mr. Kory holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music where he continues to work with his mentor Phillip Kawin towards his Doctorate of Musical Arts.
