Australian pianist Aura Go performs regularly throughout Australia, the USA and Europe. She has been concerto soloist with many of Australian’s professional orchestras, and has performed in festivals including the Melbourne International Arts Festival, the Metropolis New Music Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. Aura’s interest in new music has seen her present the premiere performances of numerous works in Australia and the USA, including solo works written for her by Gordon Kerry and Garth Neustadter. She has also given the first Australian performances of Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 and 2 with the Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras.
Aura completed her early musical studies in her hometown of Melbourne under the guidance of Max Cooke. Following studies at the Victorian College of the Arts and the Australian National Academy of Music, Aura attained her Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music. She is currently undertaking doctoral studies into the piano music of Einojuhani Rautavaara at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
